Fourth of July Events in Central Florida
Daytona Beach – Daytona Beach Main Street July 4th Block Party and Barbecue is an 8-block long party with a summer barbecue theme. The event will be held from 6 pm until midnight with fireworks at 9:30 pm and includes live music, food vendors and a kids zone.
What would the 4th of July in Daytona be without a race? So here you are: The Coke Zero 400 at Daytona is a 160 lap, 400 miles NASCARSprint Cup Seriesstock car race at Daytona International Speedway scheduled to take place July 2 – 4, 2009.
Daytona Beach Band Shell – This is a great place to watch the fireworks, live music will begin at 6 pm and the fireworks at 9:40
Fireworks at the Fountain at Lake Eola Park – The Mayor will welcome you as the skies above Orlando light up in red white and blue for this year’s event that will take place from 6 PM – 10 PM on Friday July 4th. It will feature live musical entertainment and many delicious foods and includes an appearance by the Orlando Concert Band.
Red Hot & Boom in Altamonte Springs – Altamonte Springs and Crane’s Roost Park invite you to celebrate with them as they present their 14th annual Independence Day. Join the Celebration, Friday July 3rd from 4 pm- 11 pm. Come enjoy live entertainment, vendor booth’s, food, drinks and activities for the kids. The night will climax in a 25 minute fireworks display set to a mix of patriotic music and the latest musical hits.
Disney World – July Fourth is a grand celebration of all things America. What better patriotic place to be than Walt Disney World Resort as freedom rings from corner to corner of the Vacation Kingdom. “Disney’s Celebrate America!-A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” will dazzle Magic Kingdom guests at 9 pm on the Fourth of July. That same park will feature a performance of the “SpectroMagic” nighttime parade, at 10:30 pm.
Busch Gardens – Independence Day weekend explodes with a pair of performances at Busch Gardens. On July 3, it’s legendary teen heartthrob David Cassidy. From “The Partridge Family” fame to his 18 gold and platinum recordings, Cassidy has had numerous hits throughout the decades, including “I Write the Songs,” “Lyin’ to Myself” and “I Think I Love You.” July 4, former Starship lead singer, Mickey Thomas, rocks Busch Gardens in a special Independence Day celebration, followed by a fireworks finale.
42nd ANNUAL EASTER BEACH RUN – APRIL 11
Ready, Set, GO!! Start your training regimen now for the city’s 42nd annual Easter Beach Run, a popular 4-mile run on the hard-packed sands of the “World’s Most Famous Beach.” Beginning at Breakers Oceanfront Park and the Main Street Pier, all ages are welcome to join with hundreds of other participants in this Easter weekend tradition. A new “Team” category has been added for groups with at least 3 people. For children there will be 50 yard, 100 yard and ¼ mile fun runs beginning at 3 p.m. All ages can participate in a 2-mile race and fun walk at 3:45 p.m. The 4-mile race starts at 4:30 p.m. Advanced registration is $22 per adult and $10 for the first child, $7 for additional children. Entry fees include awards, commemorative t-shirts, prizes, goodie bags, gifts provided by event sponsors and refreshments. Registration on race day is $30. Christmas Boat Parade Sat 12.13.08 at 6:30pm
Christmas Boat Parade in Daytona, Saturday Dec 13th starting at 6:30. The parade will start near Main Street then travel south down the Halifax. Viewing will be good at any point along the river. The Halifax River Yacht Club is open to the public and serving a hamburger and hotdog buffet style dinner for $10.
4th of July in Daytona
Hey all…for every1 in the daytona area, Port Orange is Having FIREWORKS this year unlike most other cities around, and as u prolly know i am working the fourth for the city of Port Orange running the kids area at city center with Jumping Beans blowup bounce house and a 53′ blowup obstacle course. We are also having a Hot Rod/Classic Car show around the circle. For those with cars that would like to be in it, there is no registration or fee to enter. Show up at the city center and come in the entrance off of Dunlawton starting around 12:30. Any cars remaing after 6:30 will not be permitted to leave until after the fireworks are over. There will be food vendors including Sons of Italy, Sweet and Sassy Salsa, ice cream and Hawaiian Ice people. We will also be having Live music all day at the amphithearter. Hope 2 see every1 here so im not bored all day. let me know if you have any questions and pass this info along to any1 with a hotrod car or any1 that has kids and wants to bring them.

41st Annual Easter Beach Run

The Easter Beach Run was established in 1967 by the Daytona Beach Leisure Services Department. First held on Easter Sunday afternoon to provide an activity for visiting college students, this event has developed into one of the favorite fun races in Northeast Florida. Now held on Easter Saturday, this is our 41st year.
